Blizzard Warnings in Place in New Jersey as Nor’easter Storm Hits Northeast

Parts of New Jersey were under a blizzard warning on January 29, as a powerful Nor’easter headed toward the US northeast. Footage posted by Ethan Kerr shows snow accumulation growing on a residential street in Bayville. The National Weather Service warned of multiple hazards due to heavy snow, with 12 inches expected to build up along much of the northeast coast, and more than two feet of snow forecast in parts of eastern Massachusetts, including Boston. “The combination of the intense snow and strong winds will result in blizzard conditions, especially along coastal areas,” the agency said.
