Beijing has hit back at Scott Morrison, saying Australia has no right to draw a “red line” against the construction of a Chinese military base in the Solomon Islands.
It comes after Prime Minister Morrison claimed that it would be a “red line” for Australia if China were to establish a military base on the Solomon Islands.
China’s Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng dismissed the shared concerns of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the United States as a “colonial myths” produced through “disinformation, defamation, coercion and intimidation”.
