Deadly Tornado Touches Down in Pembroke, Georgia

At least one person was killed and nine injured after a tornado touched down in Pembroke, Georgia, on April 5, according to local officials. This footage recorded by Greg Peed Jr shows the tornado as seen from West Bacon Street in Pembroke on Tuesday afternoon. Peed told Storyful that it looked like the tornado was headed for his 2-year-old’s nursery, but it veered off before getting there. Matthew Kent, a spokesperson for Bryan County told local media that one woman was killed and nine people injured from the tornado, which he said touched down around 5:40 pm local time near the courthouse in Pembroke.
