Heads of State of the monarchy should not be brought into ‘local domestic politics’

Nationals Senate Leader Bridget McKenzie says the Head of State of the monarchy should be outside of “local domestic politics” based on constitutional arrangements.

It follows after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has encouraged King Charles III’s “commitment to the natural environment and sustainability”.

“I’m not sure what messages the Prime Minister is trying to send King Charles III,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News Australia.
