Sky News host Chris Smith says the spate of independents running in Liberal-held seats are part of an “election army of revenge”.
While the independents, each part of a ‘Voices of’ movement in their electorates, claim to be of no political affiliation, several revelations in recent days have proved otherwise.
Monique Ryan, the ‘Voices of’ candidate running in the Melbourne seat of Kooyong, was revealed by The Project to have been a member of the Labor Party for three years.
This is despite claiming she was a ‘cleanskin’ with no prior political affiliations.
“They really should be called the anti-Coalition party, because they are there to bring down the government,” Mr Smith said of the movement.
