Superstar Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary returned from a lengthy injury battle to lead his side to a 26-12 win over the Rabbitohs tonight, as the reigning premiers chalked up a fourth win in succession.
The 2021 Clive Churchill medallist kicked beautifully and linked seemlessly with halves partner Jarome Luai, in a game in which Penrith wasn’t ever genuinely troubled by South Sydney.
“It felt really good,” Cleary said of his shoulder on Nine’s post-match coverage.
“I felt like I did all the preparation to get it right. It’s a credit to all our staff who’ve helped me out through this whole process… it was just good to be back out there.”
