SA Covid cases beginning May 1: Two men dead, 3000 new cases


Two men have died and 229 people are in hospital with Covid-19 in the latest report.

There were 3070 new cases of Covid-19 reported in South Australia on Saturday, SA Health reported on Sunday.

Two men who tested positive to Covid have died, one in his 40s and one in his 50s.

There are 229 people with Covid-19 in hospital, including 16 people in ICU, with one person on a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 174 people are fully vaccinated, 49 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and six have an unknown vaccination status.

There are currently 24,792 active cases in South Australia – SA Health said that total has been readjusted due to a reconfiguration of the data.
