Storm, Bulldogs, Eels, Dragons; Andrew Johns rips Wayne Bennett over Kalyn Ponga

After three Cowboys players were sent to the sin bin during their big loss to the Roosters, Payten accused NRL officials of favouring the more successful teams over ones who have been less successful in recent years.

“That’s frustrating. That’s my opinion over watching footy over a long time,” Payten told media.

The NRL has not announced any sanctions yet, but Fittler expects them to come down hard on Payten.

“He should be expecting a fine come his way I’d say,” Fittler told Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.

“You can’t question their integrity and say they’re putting better teams first.

“I think two of (the three) deserved to be sin-binned. And it was the pressure of the game that got to them, not the sin bins.

“Toddy will expect a fine. I don’t agree with that at all.”
