Victoria and New South Wales to remove isolation rules

New South Wales and Victoria are expected to remove close contact isolation requirements by the end of the week.

New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet will announce the move in tandem with the Victorian government following talks with Premier Daniel Andrews.

Under the new rules, household contacts of COVID-positive people will no longer need to isolate for seven days.

The move will be welcomed by businesses, where isolation requirements have caused staff shortages and supply issues.
